Front of House Expeditor

Job Summary:

Corner Bakery is seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Front of House (FOH) Expeditor to join our fast-paced, guest-focused team. As a key link between the kitchen and the dining area, the FOH Expeditor ensures that all food orders are prepared accurately, presented beautifully, and delivered promptly. This role requires strong communication skills, a sharp eye for detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage ticket times and maintain speed of service to ensure guests receive food in a timely manner.

• Communicate clearly with line cooks and kitchen staff to confirm order accuracy and temperature specifications.

• Return any food items that are prepared incorrectly or do not meet quality standards.

• Prepare and stock the expo line with necessary items throughout the shift.

• Assemble and prepare food items such as soups, salads, desserts, beverages, bread, and condiments.

• Pull and wrap bread, prepare trays, and cook soups as needed to support food presentation.

• Maintain clean and organized front-of-house displays and condiment stations.

• Buss tables and assist with cleaning, sweeping, and mopping as required.

• Check and maintain cleanliness of guest restrooms throughout the shift.

• Provide prompt and friendly guest interactions, taking action to meet guest needs or special requests.

• Support and promote company initiatives and values through daily actions.

• Take catering deliveries when assigned and assist as a backup for cashier and catering duties.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• High school diploma or currently enrolled; equivalent work experience also considered.

• A minimum of 3 months’ experience in a guest service role, preferably in a restaurant or retail environment.

• Possess a current Food Handler Card or ServSafe Certification (as required by local/state regulations).

• Must have or be able to complete Corner Bakery driver training, meet MVR standards, and maintain a valid driver’s license with insurance (if eligible to drive for CBC).

• Strong communication and guest service skills with a friendly and professional attitude.

• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a high-energy environment.

• Proficient in using Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and basic computer functions.

• Able to read, write, and speak English fluently.

• Basic math proficiency in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Additional Information:

• This position requires extended periods of standing and walking, as well as the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Must be available to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
